Yes, yes, yes, people.. please stop worshipping ‘Democracy’ -

- Organizing society in a system of democracy will, in the long run inevitably, lead to the worst characters to rise to the top ! - see Hans Hermann Hoppe's many talks and lectures on his book 'Democracy - the God that failed' - free download :

I strolled over to Reddit to see how the movement left think (the "rank and file" at least in terms of the terminally online, which is admittedly a sub-group). My God. They embody the NPC meme. I've never seen such an extreme version of "presentism", the mental affliction that simply reacts to new information and developments as an animal without historic memory might.

Sure, Biden dropped out. Because now he needs to. But a month ago, that was then, when he didn't need to. When the debate happened, we learned new information. So, the DNC did nothing wrong when they let Biden win a faux-primary. They just didn't know you see, he was the best choice at the time. And if they did know, they had to be careful to close ranks because, Trump. They just misjudged, or something.

And then, aside from presentism, "Biden dropped out as a choice". Sure, there was "pressure" and "persuasion". "But those things aren't a coup." The only conceivable thing that happened was persuasion. There are--implicitly as this is not even stated--of course no other means that could have been used. Even the 25th Amendment threats reported by the Post would be dismissed out of hand and downvoted into oblivion because it came from the Post.

It's like, does a coup have to happen in front of an NPC's face, with CNN telling them it's a coup, before they recognize it or even...just arouse mild suspicion? These people put the party and regime on such a pedestal that it's downright childish.

And then they say ridiculous rationalizations without considering for a moment the implications. One common dismissive rationalization is that the only thing that matters is policy, not the person, so Kamala is fine and the base doesn't need a primary. "Policy over process." Really? I mean, I'm a Hoppean and not a social democrat, but isn't the process literally the very apotheosis of human civilization to these people? If all that matters is policy, then just have a dictator you damn fools. Do they even hear themselves speak?

At this point, with so many, so quickly endorsing Kamala, looks like Trump is the next anointed president and the Dems are throwing the election. Unless, of course, there is an open convention and Obama has a surprise candidate in store for us.
