Writing is an art. But most of those who write do not recognize this art and fewer still master it. In the AI era, or for the remainder of history that is, no one will be an artist in writing—except those who intentionally introduce errors into their writing. But those who would know how to introduce errors must know why and how they are errors in the first place. They must know what rules are.
Thus, the Turing Test must be replaced by another test that, instead of having been designed to determine whether a computer can pass as a human being, should instead be designed to determine whether a human being can pass as an AI agent. Name it after a humanist. Erasmus comes to mind.
